Marissa Barrera Morales practices criminal and family law. Prior to joining Nicholas and Barrera, P.C. Mrs. Morales was a prosecutor for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Mrs. Morales tried over thirty jury trials. Mrs. Morales left the District Attorney’s Office in May of 2008 to start a family and begin private practice. In private practice Mrs. Morales served as co-counsel on a murder case in which a jury acquitted the defendant of murder and found in favor of the lesser charge of Aggravated Manslaughter. Mrs. Morales has also been successful in DWI jury trials and continues to fight for her client’s rights.

Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Morales was a credit analyst for Comerica Bank. Mrs. Morales graduated from Baylor Law School in February of 2005. After law school, Mrs. Morales served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara Hervey of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

Mrs. Morales is a member of the Texas Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
